That email is a scam.
A company will not give out money unless there is something in it for themselves? Due to the number of lottery scams no legitimate company would ever notify you by email that you have won a prize.
Every email that states you have won a lottery or there is money waiting for you is a scam. There will be a followup asking for a prepayment of some type of fee to receive the money. Haven’t you noticed that even though you have won 100 million your name appears nowhere in the email? It may not even contain your email address. If people were winning 100 million every day it would be on the news with pictures of the lucky people.
Unless you enter a lottery or contest, such as with one of the magazine companies, any notification is a scam. If you get 100 million you will not be notified by email.

Scam
There is no Yahoo or MSN or Hotmail or Google or any other lottery. If you did not enter a lottery there is no way you could win.
Do you seriously think companies like Yahoo just give away money for free to random people?
The address at the top of the page is from California in the USA. The bottom of the page says France and Ireland. So why would the money be coming out of Africa? And why would Yahoo ever use an @live.com email address that belongs to their competitor MSN??? There are so many red flags in this one post that I can’t believe anyone could even think this might be for real

Scam!!!!! That message is both a fake and an outright fraud. Don’t contact the phishers and give them any of your personal information at all. Spam that scam message straight into oblivion right away. This is one lottery you’ll never win because it’s “bogus.”
Another thing, the phishers telling you to “keep this lottery information confidential” would indicate to you not to say anything about this to anybody until they have finished scamming you.
